This position performs high skill technical work related to the installation, configuration, and support of enterprise-level core technology systems, including but not limited to LAN/WAN, network directory structures, servers, workstations, printing, storage, backup, disaster recovery, virtual computing, security, in a hybrid cloud environment. Support responsibilities are primarily to provide support for issues that cannot be resolved by first tier support, but can include first and third tier efforts, escalating unsolved issues as needed. Weeknight and weekend work is possible but it is kept to minimum.
This position will operate primarily in the south Bryan County area.
Job Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent technical education level, in a relevant field - MCSE/VCP certification preferred - Two or more years of successful work experience performing network/system administratio providing 2nd tier support - Minimum four years troubleshooting network, computer, application, and peripheral hardware/software issues
Skills and abilities - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Organizational and prioritization skills, to include analyzing existing processes and identify areas for improvement - Problem solving, with the ability to exercise independent judgment, troubleshoot, and solve basic problems - Strong knowledge and skills with computer software, particularly Microsoft servers, workstations and applications
- Knowledge and skills with network directories/environments (Active Directory/LDAP/ADFS); Google and/or Office365 administration a plus - Ability to respond to inquiries and requests from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner - Work across functional boundaries and interact with employees at all levels of the organization in team environments
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol family , directory based environments, and proper implementation of networking technology
- Work without direct supervision - Provide self with transportation between campuses
