The Bryan County School System is accepting applications for Special Education teachers for the 2020-2021 school year. The successful candidate must meet certification requirements in the appropriate field(s) of education, as follows: 

• Special Education – Self-Contained classrooms – must hold certification in Adapted Curriculum Special Education, plus Special Education content concentrations in all 5 content areas.
• Special Education – Co-taught classrooms – must hold certification in General Curriculum Special Education, plus Special Education content concentrations in the areas of Reading/ELA and/or Math.

In addition to certification and professionally qualified status, Bryan County is interested in teachers who possess a strong knowledge of research-based and data-driven instructional practices designed to ensure students with disabilities the opportunity to be successful in their educational environment, as well as embracing a philosophy of providing individual interventions in a manner that positively affects individual student growth.

The opening and closing dates of the posting are an estimation of the time required to solicit applications for our posted position.  Once the System receives an adequate number of highly qualified applications, the administration may choose to move forward with the interview process and remove the posting from the site.  We encourage you to apply as early as possible during the posted application dates.
